Coming from Outside of the State
Limited Interactions and Self-Monitoring
The State of New Mexico requires for all out-of-state students a fourteen-day limited interactions and self-monitoring period on arrival in New Mexico.
If you are planning on living in UNM's Housing and Residential Life (UNM Housing), please follow the information that was sent to you on July 17, 2020 about your housing plan and move-in date. You will be able to limit interactions and self-monitor after your move-in date in your dorm, limiting your exposure to others while being able to go for take-out food in our dining facilities and attending to other critical needs, and you will be able to attend your first week of classes remotely.
If you are not living in UNM Housing, you should do one of the following:
- Arrive in New Mexico by August 7 and limit interactions and self-monitor in your New Mexico home until the end of the first week of classes on August 21. Inform your instructors that you have arrived from out of state and must attend the first week of classes remotely.
- Arrive in New Mexico by August 3 and limit interactions and self-monitor before classes start on Aug 17th. Participate in-person in your face-to-face and face-to-face plus remote classes.
